Hi, this Kay. I am an experienced Mandarin Chinese teacher. For ten years, I have been teaching different countries students, whose Chinese level ranging from zero, the true beginner level to advanced. The learners’ difficulties in Chinese learning are obvious different from each. Therefore, I incorporate these into the teaching material to help students learning easily.
“Student-centered” is one of my teaching philosophies. The classes will be proceeded differently due to the variety of the student features and objectives. That is, the teaching content and curriculum will be adjusted to take into account the differences of students and learning purposes. Communication is the main purpose in learning language. Therefore, Listening and speaking will be the most important in my class. And, reading takes priority over writing.
Learning a language is painful but it’s fun, and Chinese learning is not easy, either. learning difficulties in Chinese include Tones, character writing and recognition, vocabulary, grammar, etc.. Therefore, maintaining interests, goal-oriented, practical content and a little pressure will maintain your learning motivation. Let us learn with fun!

哈囉, 我是張美玲,我是一名華語老師,從十年前教華語至今,接觸過許多不同國籍的學生,學生程度從零起點、初級、中級到高級都有,多年的教學經驗讓我清楚了解不同程度學習者的學習難點,並適時將這些內容融入,讓學習者在不知不覺中學會。
「以學生為中心」不是口號,學生特質、學習目的會影響到教學內容及課程進行,因此教學上會考量學生差異及學習目的而有所調整,結合學生經驗、興趣,讓課程活潑、生活化;而語言是溝通工具,因此教學上將以聽說為主,閱讀優先於書寫。
學習語言有苦有樂,而學中文更不容易,聲調、漢字認讀、詞彙、語法..等等都其難點,因此保持興趣、有目標、加上實用的內容及一點點壓力,學習才能持久,讓我們一起努力學習吧!
